Everton make bid for outcast Milan midfielder

AC Milan are set to offload Andrea Bertolacci in the coming days with the Rossoneri having reached an agreement with Everton.

Andrea Bertolacci could join Everton instead of Genoa. Acceleration in negotiations by the English side yesterday with positive contacts in the last hours between agent Alessandro Lucci and the management of the Toffees.

The Italian 27 year old midfielder was one of Genoa’s best players last season but his performances were not enough to earn him a return at San Siro. Bertolacci has only one year of contract remaining with AC Milan. He is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Premier League club worth two million plus bonuses while six million euros will go for the Rossoneri.

Bertolacci was purchased by Adriano Galliani in the summer of 2015 for 20 million euros but in his two years at San Siro the Italian failed to justify the hefty price tag, or even e part of it.
